A perfect blend of transitional and modern elements, this custom family home nestled in the woods of beachtown Fennville, MI brings a fresh feeling of comfort and luxury to a long weekend on the lake. Wild Turkey Retreat was designed for a Hinsdale, IL based family who dreamed of a large home for their family of six that could also comfortably accommodate guests. Natural materials and textures are used throughout, including five different wood species used for cabinets, accent beams, and fireplace surrounds. These elements create the foundation for an earthy palette of mossy green, sand, dark browns, and soft blacks. Bluestone porcelain and blue details used in the girls and boys bunkrooms is also a nod to the home’s natural surroundings of woods and water.
Fennville sits adjacent to Douglas and Saugatuck. Saugatuck is often ranked as one of the best small towns in America for its art scene, dining, and beautiful beaches.
